Is there a website similar to beatport, but for hip hop music?

Im a coming up dj, and i am inspired by electro house music. But now that im doing parties my clients are asking me for more hip hop. if anyone would help i would greatly appreciate it.

Yeah I’ve been using one called Sonic Producer for a while now.. for $40 you get membership to the site, which includes access to the hip hop beats software, a HUGE preset sound library, and thousands of video tutorials.

As for the software itself… it’s top of the line.. 16 track sequencer, free hip hop loops, MANY samples as I said, and they will bring your DJ skills up a few notches with the free lessons. Check out http://beatmakersonline.info for a detailed review of the program.

Oh and to people saying to use fruity loops… Fruity loops is good but it requires a lot of technical audio knowledge and I find it’s much more suited for trance/electronic music as they have many preset pads.

Why is the press going after Hip Hop when it is Rap music denegrating women?

In regard to the whole Don Imus fiasco, I would like to know why the press is complaining about hip hop music when it is Rap music (there is a difference) denegrating women. Hip Hop is almost always positive. Also, rappers talk specifically about women who regard themselves as Queen B*****’s and not women who are making differences in the world. If you are going to wage war on something, do it on the offenders. Don’t attack the wrong people, like Bush did.
This question is specifcally about differentiating between music and helping people get a better understanding of the true differences. I’ll give best answer to someone willing to open their mind.

Don Imus was taken down by those he helped create. The modern media. They say stupid shit without doing the research. Imus did that on occasion. I totally agree with what you are saying. I don’t beleive Imus should have been fired…when there is garbage like this in all genres of music. It is not just rap!
