I heard that the Weather Channel is no longer playing smooth jazz music during their "Local On the 8s" segments. They are starting to play instrumental rock music now. I personally do not like this. It just doesn’t seem like the Weather Channel to play this type of music. What does anyone else think?

I’m definitely no expert in music, so maybe this is a dumb question! But anyway, I listen to a lot of rock music and I have trouble hearing the bass lines, it seems that the guitar riffs and drums pretty much dominate most of the time. Is the bass just very subtle, where you don’t notice it, except if its missing?
Without bass guitars = no bass solos.
No bass solos = boring.

I have to write a report over Christian Rock and Christian Alternative music. What is the difference between the two?? I need major help. Any advice will help, thank you.
Christian Rock is going to be undeniably "Christian." The main purpose of these songs is to tell about Christianity. Often the lyrics are un-challenging and sound exactly like the song you heard right before it.
Christian Alternative shows much more appreciation for music and poetry. The lyrics will be artistic and vague, making the track more suitable for the mainstream music scene. I also find that the lyrics are more relevant to everyday life, as opposed to Christian Rock which just sings about spirituality.
