I looked on the at40 website but we cant find 1998. anyone know the top songs for each week that year? well were you can find them anyways?

do you trust and beleive too the ways, methods they calculate which songs are currently "most popular"?? which radio stations do most people listen to to find out the "Top 40" etc curently popular in the UK and how much this influences people buying their albums?

do you think it is possible that record companies pay the radio stations to SAY they are top songs just so they can sell more albums? is this legal too , if so, how they would prove this?

please explain and describe what you can. btw, which region of Britain you are?

The really famous, epic, old one is Radio 1 at 4pm on Sundays I think
Londoners often listed to 95.8fm Capital at 4pm on Sundays
On the TV, there are Viva and 4Music which are always doing Top40 shows!

i mean there are so many great bands out there and always the people whose songs come on the top are super famous eg .. neo,rihanna,t.i,florida

Welcome to the world of tasteless commercial music. Its all about the money and also ALL about the music as it is engineered to make money. All those artists on the radio and on the billboard charts are 99.9 percent of the time complete laughing stocks. Us musicians literally joke around and say someone sounds like rihanna or florida or miley cyrus in order to seriously diss them. The ONLY good genres of music around today are either jazz based or extremely progressive. The only exception to that rule is true electronic music which is also at an incredible peak. Don’t even bother with radio. If u have the guts to point out how messed up and useless radio is than maybe you should actually do the thing musicians and artists and true fans of the art have been doing for ages…go find some real music. Radio is designed to entertain and pass time for people who have too much of it. Thats music for most people…and then theres the rest of us.
