This song is “Forget All About It” by Linden Hudson from his album “A Meat Music Sequel” (band name listed as “Glory”). Available for mp3 download on most download services (Itunes, Amazon-mp3, etc..) . Linden recorded this song in a living room in Texas in 1999. He played all the instruments and did the vocals. He used one SM57 microphone, a $95 guitar and a $90 bass. The recording was made to laptop computer using multitrack software that was on sale for $20. It’s true indie music if it’s recorded in a living room. (You may notice the gritty voice texture later in the song. Rumor has it that Linden achieved this extra gritty vocal sound by gargling small amounts of jello between takes. It’s just a rumor. This is cheating so Linden would never do this. Rumor has it that Linden cheats when playing slide guitar too by using open tuning. But he would never do this.)

Linden Hudson sings and the fabulous Texas guitarist Van Wilks plays guitar on this track. Linden sang in a band with Van Wilks in the early seventies. Then Linden went off and began working at a recording studio in San Antonio and Van Wilks came up to visit him and there happened to be some other studio musicians hanging out in the studio. So, Linden fired up the Ampex multi-track recorder and they improvised this song “Sunshine Came Down” while they drank beer. In this tune Linden says “pick it Austin”. Well, Van lives in Austin, but actually, Van’s middle name is “Austin”. This song is on the album “A Meat Music Sequel”.
